I’ve got donor fatigue There’s nothing left that bleeds an emotion like Zombie Kylies 7 millionth locomotion A love that learned to terrorise a Frankenstein with angel eyes I Pray you never breed You’ve taken it all And in my quiet panic I channel Barbara Stanwyck and there’s fire in my eyes The saving of souls Is such a dirty business I bought and you sold new love for old Where’s the good in gospel Now where’s the joy in faith for every broken promise There are 12 to take its place You’re like a living fossil You know you’ve had your time You should be underground somewhere Like Deep beneath the northern line You’ve taken it all And in my quiet panic I channel Barbara Stanwyck and there’s fire in my eyes The saving of souls Is such a dirty business I bought and you sold new gods for old Spend the day Make the trip worthwhile Never knowing when your beaten Even when you’re being beaten Is the dumbest place to be Once in a lifetime you fly and fall this way Every waking hour Every waking hour Every waking hour Every waking hour THE DUMBEST PLACE TO BE My saviour failed to recognise We live forever nothing dies We Just complete the circle In a crown of flies My saviour failed to recognise We live forever nothing dies We Just complete the circle In a crown of flies

Homegrown in my pick up son sisters brat and daddy's gun double diamond barrel of fun why every day’s a hit and run nowhere near Afghanistan our parents weren't in Vietnam we don't need you to understand we know we'll all be damned Tuck and Roll country boy bounce on down the road like a hobbildehoy stick around and you'll drown in smalltown eiderdown and the house band plays No free lunch boy no free lunch today the empty handed just get turned away no free lunch boy no free lunch today get real dirty then make a clean getaway This field of dreams not what it seems lying fallow at the feet of wind machines by the scruff of your neck by the skin of your teeth hanging by your fingernails all week you made the rent the rest is spent to hide it from the government Tuck and Roll country boy bounce on down the road like a hobbildehoy stick around and you'll drown in smalltown eiderdown and the house band plays country boy show me your hands still digging ditches still the family man country boy show me your hands are they only fit for building someone else’s masterplan well I used to drive an ice cream van spreading joy across this land but I was trumped by a simpleton who smiling handed me a loaded gun tuck and roll country boy

I don't do the politics I'm paid to take aim sometimes I suffer with the climate like a moth to a flame I do your dirty work behind your back a shock of daylight or a lighting attack I do your dirty work right up in your face a tour of duty in a waste of space honour bound to do your bidding soldiers only sing when they're killing once more into the sunset singing our songs and blowing our trumpets heads held high raise the battle cry we stay loyal to the lie until the day we die you piece it together I blow it apart your'e the one that’s clever I'm just led by the heart there are heroes buried here somewhere their last breath was this mountain air where couples come to picnic and stretch without a care couples come to picnic and stretch without a care.

Them Apples 03:04
Oh we've got plans for you Won’t do what muppets do brought up without a clue is it fear of flying is it fear of flying is it fuck Be the freak you want to be but don't be hurting me out of curiosity gift or curse gift or curse Everybody tows the line Broke back in the daily grind small wonder they lose their mind they make ya do it make ya make ya make ya do it What exactly do you own a play station and pay day loan you're 45 and home alone why they put you through it put ya put ya push you through it just to stay alive how d'ya like them apples baby how d'ya like them apples baby don't you think that heaven can wait learn to bide your time maybe lose that guiding light even serpents shine when I fell it wasn't far from the tree keeping bad company my shady family and you know that is it was up to me I would cut down that tree - its roots are shackles how d'ya like them apples baby

about

We feel really proud of everything we’ve achieved with Donor Fatigue. In terms of how we present our music, it’s definitely a positive step forward but without losing the elements that make Quella what it is. We’ve often been told that we are a difficult band to pigeonhole – and that’s fine with us. While our approach has never been to be deliberately eclectic or hard to pin down, we’ve developed a really honest way of writing songs that doesn’t adhere to the limits of any particular genre. We’ll go wherever the mood takes us and we draw on a wide set of influences. The result is something that has the weight of heavy metal but with the uncomplicated energy of punk. We sit somewhere between Gang Of Four and Alice In Chains but we’re just as likely to be influenced by Spike Milligan or the noise of a squeaky door!
